I've been playing around with using Paint Shop Pro to turn regular images into 3D anaglyphs. Here are some of the results. Viewing them requires red/cyan 3D glasses with the red filter over the left eye.

I did this with a couple of images off the web.
Ditto.
I converted a few panels from the 1960s Buck Rogers comic strip (with great art by George Tuska!) into 3D by cutting out the individual elements of the picture and rearranging them in different colors.
